How to Clean and Maintain Tinted Windows (Without Ruining Them)

You just got your windows tinted. They look dark, sleek, and amazing.
But did you know that one spray of the wrong cleaner can destroy them in seconds? Here is how to keep your tint looking perfect forever.
The #1 Rule for Calgary Tint: NO AMMONIA
Ammonia is found in most household glass cleaners (like blue Windex). It attacks the adhesive layers of window film. ALWAYS check the label for "Ammonia-Free" or "Tint Safe".
The Curing Process in Calgary
Window film is applied using a "slip solution" (water and soap). We squeegee most of it out, but some remains.
Day 1-3
Do Not TouchThe film is still wet. Do not roll windows down. You might see small water pockets or haziness. This is normal.
Day 4-7
DryingVisual defects start to disappear as the water evaporates through the film. You can usually roll windows down now (weather dependent).
Day 30
Fully CuredThe adhesive has reached maximum bond strength. Any remaining moisture is gone.
