Winter
Protection Matters

Calgary's winter is unforgiving. For six months of the year, your vehicle faces a constant assault from road salt, calcium chloride, sand, gravel, and sub-zero temperatures. Traditional clear coat simply isn't designed for this level of abuse. Here's what winter does to unprotected paint: Road salt accelerates oxidation and rust. Calcium chloride creates a sticky film that traps dirt against your paint. Sand and gravel leave micro-scratches that become more visible over time. And the freeze-thaw cycle forces moisture into every tiny imperfection. Ceramic coating is your winter defense system. When applied before winter, it creates an incredibly hard (9H), hydrophobic barrier. Salt, snow, and slush can't bond to the surface the same way. Instead of scrubbing with harsh brushes to remove winter grime, contaminants rinse away with minimal effort. The real benefit comes in the spring. While everyone else is discovering paint etching, rust spots, and faded clear coat from winter abuse, your ceramic-coated vehicle looks like it just came from the showroom. The coating took the beating, not your paint. We specifically recommend ceramic coating in late September or October, before the first snowfall. This gives your vehicle maximum protection throughout the entire winter season. Combined with PPF on the front end for gravel protection, ceramic coating gives Calgary vehicles the comprehensive defense they need.

Benefits & Features

Why Calgary drivers choose this protection

Salt & Chemical Defense

Creates a chemical barrier that prevents road salt, calcium chloride, and magnesium from eating into your clear coat and causing oxidation.

Hydrophobic Snow Shedding

Snow and ice slide off coated surfaces rather than bonding. Morning frost melts faster and ice removal becomes effortless.

Effortless Winter Washing

Winter grime rinses away with just water — no harsh scrubbing or brushes needed. Self-serve washes become quick and safe.

Freeze-Thaw Protection

Hard ceramic layer resists damage from expanding ice and prevents moisture penetration that causes rust and corrosion.

UV Winter Reflection

Calgary's winter sun reflecting off snow is intense. Ceramic coating blocks UV rays that fade paint even in cold months.

Spring Reveal

When winter ends, remove the coating's sacrificial layer to reveal perfect paint underneath. No etching, no salt damage.

Technical
FAQ.

Frequently asked questions regarding specifications, installation protocols, and lifecycle maintenance.

01When should I apply ceramic coating for winter?

September through early November is ideal. This ensures the coating fully cures before the first snowfall and provides maximum protection throughout the entire winter season. We book up quickly in fall, so schedule early.

02Does ceramic coating protect against road salt?

Yes, significantly. While it doesn't make your car salt-proof, the hydrophobic barrier prevents salt from bonding to the paint and makes removal incredibly easy. Salt that would normally etch clear coat just rinses away.

03Can I apply ceramic coating in winter?

We install ceramic coating year-round in our climate-controlled facility. However, we recommend applying it BEFORE winter starts for maximum benefit. If your car is already exposed to winter, we'll do a thorough decontamination first.

04Do I still need to wash my car in winter with ceramic coating?

Yes, but much less frequently and with far less effort. We recommend rinsing salt off every 2-3 weeks (versus weekly without coating). The coating makes these washes quick and prevents the damage that would occur if salt sat on bare paint.

05Should I combine ceramic coating with PPF for winter?

For Calgary winters, the combination is ideal. PPF protects against gravel and sand blast on the front end, while ceramic coating protects the entire vehicle from salt and makes cleaning easier. Together they provide complete winter defense.

Incredible quality. The film is invisible and the edges are wrapped perfectly. Already saved me from two rock chips on Deerfoot. Worth every penny.

Dropped off my Tesla and picked it up looking better than the day I bought it. The ceramic coating beads water like nothing I have ever seen. These guys are artists.

Did the tint and undercoating before my first Calgary winter. Cab stays cool in summer, warm in winter, and zero rust after 2 seasons of Stoney Trail salt.

Professional from start to finish. No bubbles, no peeling, perfectly legal tint. My kids are actually comfortable in the back seat now during summer.

Best investment I have made for my Range Rover. The PPF has already caught gravel on the highway and you cannot even tell. Highly recommend.
