- Advanced DAP software plotting and custom pattern adjustment
- Confident client consultation, quoting and warranty documentation
Daily Schedule
Day 1 — Advanced Prep & Curve Theory
Monday, Aug 3- • Skills assessment & goal-setting for the week
- • Decontamination, paint-correction assessment & IPA prep refresher
- • The physics of stretch, relax and memory in film
- • Heat gun control & forming fundamentals
- • Demo: mirror caps (compound curve warm-up)
Day 2 — Bumpers & Compound Curves
Tuesday, Aug 4- • Front bumper strategy: sensors, grilles, tow-hook covers
- • Relief cuts, tucking and edge sealing without lifting
- • Managing fingers, gaps and recessed areas
- • Hands-on: full front bumper install (guided)
- • Quality inspection & rework standards
Day 3 — Hood & Fender Mastery
Wednesday, Aug 5- • Full-hood single-piece vs. multi-piece strategy
- • Wrapped vs. tucked edges — when and why
- • Fender-to-hood-to-bumper alignment
- • Hands-on: full hood + both fenders
- • Slip/tack solution ratios for large panels
Day 4 — DAP Software & Multi-Panel Alignment
Thursday, Aug 6- • Advanced DAP plotting: finding, adjusting & combining patterns
- • Custom pattern tweaks & bulk-cut fallback
- • Multi-panel alignment across body lines (doors, quarters)
- • Hands-on: plot, cut and install a software-generated panel
- • Seam placement to keep transitions invisible
Day 5 — Live Vehicle Install + Business
Saturday, Aug 8- • Live customer-style vehicle: partial-front package start to finish
- • Working to a spec sheet under time pressure
- • Client consultation & accurate quoting workshop
- • Warranty process, documentation & handoff
- • Pricing your work and reading a job for profit
Day 6 — Assessment & Certification
Sunday, Aug 9- • Independent panel assessment (instructor-graded)
- • Troubleshooting clinic: lifting edges, contamination, silvering
- • Final Q&A and technique review
- • Skills checklist sign-off
- • Certificate presentation & next-steps planning
Note: Friday, Aug 7 is a rest day (shop closed).
